Bio

The Story

My name is Mick (Kalinu is the incorrectly spelt version of Michael in Maltese) ).  I'm a retired educator, biologist and diving instructor - I've had an interest in art and photography since I was at school. I enjoy photographing and painting animals and in recent years have experimented with abstract art using liquified oil paints and have tried to combine a bit of realism with imagination.  

I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel extensively as a biologist and diving instructor and have collected a large portfolio of photographs and experiences.  Currently living on the tiny island of Gozo...it's a wonderfully peaceful place.  I do hope that you like my work.....
